St Margaret's School for Girls
This £264,000 extension to St Margaret's School was completed in time for the start of the Autumn term in 1996, the School's 150th Aniversary Year. The brief, prepared by the Council of the School in consultation with the Headmistress and her Staff, required a new music department comprising a large music room to take classes of 25 girls, three practice rooms and storage for musical instruments. A large general purpose room for use by the whole school was built as an extension to the 1950's Junior Department and all new accommodation has use of additional toilet facilities and storage.
