Work began on site in November 1999 and the client's requirement to complete the building by the start of the next playing season determined the construction method adopted. The timber kit arrived on site in January of the following year and as soon as the building was wind and watertight the several trades subcontracted to carry out the work were able to proceed without further interruption by the season weather.
